History
1937 Forging of aluminum alloys for aircraft starts at the Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. Nikko Copper Electrolyzing Refinery
1942 Oyama Works (aircraft materials forging plant) constructed, and forging commences
1950 Production of aluminum castings starts at Oyama Works
1959 Enters into technical partnership with Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) and plaster molding is introduced
1965 Mass production of compressor wheels by plaster mold process starts
1982 Introduction of 5,000-metric ton forging press, Oyama Forging Plant starts operations
1989 New casting process for compressor wheels, PPC (Precision low-Pressure Casting) was developed
1997 ISO9001 certification acquired
2001 Introduction of unified master tooling (electroformed molding)
